ORIGINAL 9/11 SONG

HONORS FAMILIES AND FALLEN HEROES,

INSPIRES HOPE

Available for live performance and media use

New York -- Daisey Productions and Dr. Judy Kuriansky announce the release of a song, “Towers of Light,” commemorating the anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The lyrics honor the fallen heroes and address feelings and healing of the survivors, including the need for closure for those who remember those fateful days.

The song, named “Towers of Light” for the two beams of light shining in place of the twin towers at Ground Zero on the past anniversaries of 9/11, has been performed in past years at 9/11 tribute concerts and services at Columbia University, St. Paul’s Chapel, Teachers College Milbank Chapel, and on Clearchannel Radio. The DVD documents performances of the song at 9/11/05 anniversary memorials held at Greenwich Town Hall and at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Greenwich, Connecticut. The DVD was shown at trauma conferences in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Athens, Greece, and at the American Psychological Association in New Orleans right before the first anniversary of the devastation of hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

“Music is a powerful healing force,” says Dr. Judy. “On this 5th anniversary of the terrorist attacks -- and at all times of such tragedy -- people can be comforted as well as inspired by expressing feelings directly, or through a song that has meaning related to the experience.”

The audio version of “Towers” is performed by Rena Strober who appeared on Broadway in “Les Miserables.” The music is by Daisey with lyrics written by Daisey with Dr. Judy.

An mp3 of the song is at http://www.psychmusic.com/Towers/TowersOfLight.mp3 and the website is www.towersoflightsong.com

The song is available for use in all media, including live performance, thorugh the above contacts. Lyrics and sheet music for the song will be available in the near future.
